In addition to its undergraduate programs, Scripps also began offering master’s degrees in business administration and education in 1971. The college’s academic offerings expanded significantly during this time as well, introducing new majors such as international relations and environmental studies. By 1960, Scripps had become one of the top liberal arts colleges for women in the United States. Over the next few decades, Scripps grew in size and reputation, with its student body expanding to nearly 500 students and faculty members from around the world.
